Care Team

The South Seattle College CARE Team is a cross-campus team that meets on a regular basis to cultivate a campus culture of connectedness, awareness, responsiveness, and engagement for the health and well-being of our students.

How does the Care teamwork?

In life-threatening emergencies, call 911. On how to handle behaviors or situations of concern, click here for guidance (New Hyperlink to Come).

  • Anyone concerned about specific student behavior that has the potential for possible threat to self or others should complete a CARE TEAM Referral.
  • CARE Team members review referrals in a timely manner and determine appropriate action.
  • Confidentiality of referrals and processes is maintained as needed.

What and When to Report

In life-threatening emergencies, call 911. On how to handle behaviors or situations of concern, click here for guidance (New Hyperlink to Come).

Submit a Care TEAM Referral to report any behavior that causes you concern or may make others feel unsafe.

If you report a behavior/situation of concern, please be prepared to share:

  • Your contact information
  • Name/any known information about the student you are referring
  • Summary of the observed behavior/situation or concern, including when and where it occurred
  • Any attempts to intervene, manage, or address the behavior
  • Other information you believe may be important
