Care Team
The South Seattle College CARE Team is a cross-campus team that meets on a regular basis to cultivate a campus culture of connectedness, awareness, responsiveness, and engagement for the health and well-being of our students.
How does the Care teamwork?

- Anyone concerned about specific student behavior that has the potential for possible threat to self or others should complete a CARE TEAM Referral.
- CARE Team members review referrals in a timely manner and determine appropriate action.
- Confidentiality of referrals and processes is maintained as needed.
What and When to Report

Submit a Care TEAM Referral to report any behavior that causes you concern or may make others feel unsafe.
If you report a behavior/situation of concern, please be prepared to share:
- Your contact information
- Name/any known information about the student you are referring
- Summary of the observed behavior/situation or concern, including when and where it occurred
- Any attempts to intervene, manage, or address the behavior
- Other information you believe may be important
What Happens After I Make A Referral?
After reviewing a CARE TEAM Referral, a member of the Care team will contact the reporting party and/or the student as appropriate to offer support and resources.
