Guide to Class Formats
WE: In-Person Web Enhanced – Classes meet 100% on campus at the times listed on the quarterly class schedule. Students may be required to use Canvas or other online platforms to submit course work or access materials, and communicate with your instructor via email, but all instruction occurs in person.
HY: Hybrid – Classes meet on campus at the time listed on the quarterly class schedule. Additional online work is required, asynchronously and/or virtually via Zoom (or similar). If virtual meetings are required, the times and days will be listed in the class schedule.
OA: Online Asynchronous – Classes meet online with no scheduled real-time class meetings. Optional virtual office hours and activities (via Zoom or similar) may be offered with attendance not required.
OS: Online Scheduled – Classes meet through video conference (Zoom or similar) at the times listed in the quarterly class schedule. Additional online work is required in addition to the scheduled virtual conference times.
OB: Online Asynchronous with In-Person – Classes meet online with no scheduled real-time class meetings. However, scheduled in-person activities, such as exams or orientations, are required.
OW: Online Scheduled with In-Person – Classes meet through video conference (Zoom or similar) at the times listed in the quarterly class schedule. In addition to virtual class meetings, some in-person activities, such as exams or orientations, are required.
P: In-Person – Classes meet on campus at the times listed on the quarterly class schedule. No use of web-based tools – including email communication - is required.
Z: Other – Class does not fit within the listed categories above. This may include field trips or similar activities.
