Get a head start on your college plans! See what you can do now to increase your chances of successfully completing high school, going to college, and graduating from college.
9th Grade
- Take college preparation courses as outlined in the CADR requirements
- Try your best and get good grades in all of your courses
- Get involved in clubs, sports, and activities in your community
- Take opportunities to visit colleges in your area
- Prepare for the math EOC
10th Grade
- Take college preparation courses as outlined in the CADR requirements
- Try your best and get good grades in all of your courses
- Continue to be involved in extracurricular activities and begin to take leadership positions
- Volunteer in your community for causes that you care about
- Research colleges that you may be interested in attending
- Prepare for the HPSE and EOC
11th Grade
- Focus on your challenging academic courses and get your best grades possible
- Prepare for and take the SAT and ACT
- Be a leader in your extracurricular activities and organize volunteer activities in your community
- Research requirements and deadlines for the colleges you are interested in
- Look for scholarships and complete a FAFSA Forecaster
12th Grade
- Plan your senior course schedule with challenging courses that meet or exceed the CADR and graduation requirements
- Take the SAT and ACT
- Complete college admissions applications and submit materials on time
- Complete and submit the FAFSA and scholarship applications
- Keep track of application, financial aid, and housing deadlines and follow up paperwork
- Commit to a college
- Graduate!
