Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation includes the Game-Room, the Fitness Center, the Outdoor Sports Court facilities, Recreational Activities and Intramural Sports. Our staff, through our facilities and services, provide health, wellness, nutritional, and personal-growth programs that complement student learning outcomes and promote student retention and success.

Game Room

The Game Room provides students the opportunity to engage in recreational activities while networking with other students. The Game Room has ping pong tables, pool tables, video games and video screens. Sports and recreational equipment, such as tennis rackets, can be checked out with a current student ID. The Game Room is in the Jerry Brockey Student Center, opposite the Bookstore.

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports programs vary by quarter and typically include soccer, softball, basketball and volleyball. Through South Seattle College intramural sports, students can learn the fundamentals of sports organizations. They can also develop team-building skills and have a fun/healthy outlet different from traditional classroom learning.

Outdoor Sports Courts

The outdoor sport courts facilities include a full-length basketball court, two half basketball courts, four badminton courts, four pickle-ball courts, a soccer court, two tennis courts and a volleyball beach court. The outdoor sports courts provide students facilities to pursue other sports venues and opportunities for continuing physical education through exercise equipment.

Weekly sports schedules are posted in the Game-Room. Sports courts are located on the South side of campus behind/east of the Olympic Hall Building. Court hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Come join in some fun and active student groups on campus -- hiking, soccer, biking and games -- or start your own! Sports and Rec clubs are housed in the Game Room.

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center has cardio machines, free weights, cable weight machines, a mat area for stretching, a heavy bag station and lockers. Visit the Fitness Center or call 206.934.6471 for open hours and available services.
