Are you receiving Unemployment Insurance Benefits and considering enrolling in a training program to enhance your skills or to change your career path? Join us for this informational session to learn how you can waive your job search requirements and potentially extend your benefits while enrolled in school! This session will guide you through the eligibility and research requirements needed to successfully submit a Commissioner Approved Training (CAT) or Training Benefits (TB) application. We’ll even step you through the application process!

A general overview of understanding Credit, Budgeting, Debt, Resolution, Retirement and helpful resources as a financial consumer.

Career Exploration

Learn skills and be introduced to the long-term value of career exploration and planning, identify factors influencing your career choice(s), and employ career exploration resources to develop specific next steps in your career exploration process.

Basic Resume

Designed for individuals unsure of where to begin in writing a resume. We'll discuss the purpose of a resume, the various sections within a resume, different resume styles, and strategies for formatting.

Interview Skills

This workshop addresses general preparation, researching companies, what to expect, and answering behavior-based and other tough, important interview questions. We’ll also cover tips specific to virtual/video interviews as well.

LinkedIn for Beginners

LinkedIn is a powerful professional networking tool that can help you research career pathways, connect with people doing the kind of work that interests you, and learn about job opportunities. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of building a professional and compelling profile.

Virtual Drop-ins

Fridays, 12:15 – 1pm

This virtual walk-in is to answer questions related to job readiness; help with resumes, interviews, and other job preparation tools. No sign-up is required, the Zoom link is in the description. Please note: This is not a workshop.
