Criteria Explanation:
- Access: student understands the existence and means of finding various sources of information.
- Select: student evaluates and chooses appropriate sources of information.
- Apply: student cites and employs appropriate sources of information consistent with the completion of work (paper, project, discussion post, etc.).
Rating Scale Explanation:
- Beginning: lacks evidence of meeting the criterion.
- Developing: somewhat demonstrates evidence of meeting the criterion.
- Competent: meets the criterion.
- Accomplished: meets and/or exceeds the criterion in a meaningful way.
Glossary of Terms:
- Appropriate- viable, sanctioned, in the ‘correct’ manner.
- Sources- purveyors of information.
- Information- media (primary and secondary).
