Intramural Sports & Athletics
Intramural Sports programs vary by quarter and typically include soccer, basketball, table tennis, dodgeball, flag football and volleyball. Students can learn the fundamentals of sports organizations through intramural sports. They can also develop team-building skills and have a fun, healthy outlet different from traditional classroom learning. Stop by the Wellness Center to see a current list of our league and tournament sports offerings.
Although Seattle Colleges no longer competes in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) two-year collegiate sports conference, we do have a long history of well-established Intramural Sports offerings. If you are a student interested in participating in collegiate athletics, please visit the NWAC website to see a full listing of participating colleges and sports offerings.
Outdoor Sports Courts
The outdoor sport courts facilities include a full-length basketball court, two half basketball courts, four badminton courts, four pickle-ball courts, a soccer court, two tennis courts and a volleyball beach court. The outdoor sports courts provide students facilities to pursue other sports venues and opportunities for continuing physical education through exercise equipment.
Weekly sports schedules are posted in the Game Room. Sports courts are located on the South side of campus behind/east of the Olympic Hall Building (OLY). Court hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.
Game Room
The Game Room provides students with the opportunity to enjoy casual seating space, engage in recreational activities while networking with other students. The Game Room has Ping-Pong tables, billiards tables, and home gaming consoles including PlayStation and Xbox. Sports and recreational equipment, such as table tennis rackets, pool cues, chess sets, as well as other board games, can be checked out with a current student ID. The Game Room is in the Brockey Student Center (JMB).
Recreation
The campus recreation department hosts various off campus activities for students to experience a sense of adventure discovering the Northwest outdoors. We have seasonal events such as hiking, bike trips, camping, snow shoeing, skiing/snowboarding, rafting, fishing and kayaking.
We also offer other fun off campus programs such as karting, paintballing and movie outings, mall visits and bowling.
