Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

As required by the worker “right to know” law, South maintains a database of information on all hazardous products used on campus. To search this database for the ingredients, risks and precautions that apply to a particular product, all you must have is the correct spelling of the product name.

Hints for using MSDS online: 

• Enter the product name on the “simple search” screen being careful to spell the name as it is spelled on the package. 
• Select “contains a match” from the pull down menu next to the product name.
• You can enter the manufacturer; however it is easiest to leave that space blank, and select “contains a match” from the pull down menu associated with manufacturer.
