Facilities

Student have access to the following facilities for projects including garden design, installation and renovation, construction of hardscape features, irrigation installation, maintenance and repair as well as annual pruning.  Additionally, students gain retail experience in marketing and selling plants:

South Seattle College Arboretum - an outdoor classroom and laboratory, this public garden is used as a park by Seattle residents.       

Retail Garden Center - The Garden Center at South markets and sells plants grown and maintained by students. See the Garden Center web page for open dates and hours. 

Greenhouse - An approximately 1600 sq. ft. environmentally-controlled hot house, and 800 sq. ft. cool house for propagation and growing plants for sale in the retail garden center.
