Admission Status

- Provisional: If you are within 25 quarter credits of completing an associate degree, you may be admitted provisionally into the program on a space available basis.
- Probationary: If you have a GPA below 2.5, you may be admitted on a probationary status. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher for the first 30 quarter credits and then petition to the BAS Programs Manager for admittance.
- Non-Matriculated: You can take up to 15 credits in the Hospitality Management program prior to admission. Non-matriculated students must gain permission from a Faculty Coordinator to join classes prior to admission.
Priority will be given to students with a Washington State AAS-T degree
If you have an AA or AS Transfer degree in a relevant field of study, you can also be admitted into the program on a space available basis. Students entering under these degrees will still need to complete all of the upper-division courses and will be required to work with program faculty to develop appropriate substitutions for the lower-division general education courses.
Program Requirements
Everyone admitted to the program must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in HMG courses and must be registered for a minimum of 9 HMG credits each quarter for expected completion per degree planning (see advisor). Please note: You need to be registered for a minimum of 12 credits per quarter to be considered a full-time student by the financial aid department.
