Admission Requirements
Requirements for admission are an Applied Science degree with a minimum of 25 Quarterly General Education Credits, which must include college level: Algebra (or above), English (ENGL& 101), psychology (PSYC& 100 or equivalent), and a minimum of 10 credits in humanities (VLPA) electives. In addition, you will need to submit your application online through this link.
Admission Status
Full
- You will be fully admitted to the program when all admission requirements have been completed and accepted by the Executive Dean.
Provisional
- If you are within 25 quarter credits of completing an associate degree, you may be admitted provisionally into the program on a space available basis.
Probationary
- If you have a GPA below 2.5, you may be admitted on a probationary status. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher for the first 30 quarter credits and then petition to the BAS Programs Manager for admittance.
Non-Matriculated
- You can take up to 15 credits in the Hospitality Management program prior to admission. Non-matriculated students must gain permission from a Faculty Coordinator to join classes prior to admission.
Priority will be given to students with a Washington State AAS-T degree
If you have an AA or AS Transfer degree in a relevant field of study, you can also be admitted into the program on a space available basis. Students entering under these degrees will still need to complete all of the upper-division courses and will be required to work with program faculty to develop appropriate substitutions for the lower-division general education courses.
Program Requirements
Everyone admitted to the program must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and must be registered for a minimum of 9 HMG credits each quarter. Please note: You need to be registered for a minimum of 12 credits per quarter to be considered a full-time student by the financial aid department.
