Airport Ground Support Equipment
CertificateSouth’s Airport Ground Support Equipment Certificate program is the first publicly offered program of its kind in the United States. Students learn to maintain and repair airport ground support equipment used to service and support aircraft while they are on the tarmac, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The certificate is offered through our Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology program, which has strong industry ties including partnerships with the Port of Seattle, Port Jobs & Airport University, Paccar, Peterbilt Motors Company and Kenworth Truck Company.

Preventive Maintenance and Inspection
This course focuses on skills required by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) including safety procedures compliant with OSHA regulations, hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and equipment used in the repair of both trucks and equipment in the heavy duty diesel mechanic industry. Inspection and maintenance are also a major part of this course. Prereqs: MVM 101, BUS 159, HDM 171, MAT 110. Coreq: HDM 105. |
