Foundation Scholarship Information

As a South Seattle College student, you have the opportunity to apply for scholarships from two different foundations. You can and should apply to both! 

Seattle Colleges Foundation Scholarships

Established in 2018 to serve the entire Seattle Colleges district (including South Seattle College, Seattle Central College and North Seattle College), the Seattle Colleges Foundation offers hundreds of scholarships that you can apply for with a simple, single application. For school year 2024-25, the average grant is $4,250.

South Seattle College Foundation Scholarships

Since 1980, the South Seattle College Foundation has been invested in student success at South. During these years, the Foundation has awarded thousands of scholarships to deserving students, helping them achieve their academic goals and progress toward stable and fulfilling careers.

Scholarships are awarded based on factors such as academic merit, financial need, program of study and school and community involvement.  These scholarships provide between one and three quarters of prepaid tuition.

Each year, the Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to support South Seattle College students. By completing one application by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, you’ll automatically be considered for most available scholarships. Scholarships are for the 2025-26 school year and cover tuition and fees only. Awards can be used only at South Seattle College and are not transferable to Seattle Central or North Seattle Colleges.
