Business and Accounting
Program Overview
This pathway leads to an Associate in Business (AB) degree designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. Whether your interest lies in accounting, management, finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship, this program provides the foundational knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in business or further study.
Business principles apply across every industry and sector, which is why our program integrates a multidisciplinary approach. You will build essential skills in communication, economics, organizational leadership, and technology while also gaining exposure to real-world business tools and practices. Student in ccounting will also learn to work with financial documents, apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and manage large datasets using current financial and budgeting software.
Whether your goal is to work in a corporate setting, government agency, nonprofit organization, or launch your own small business, a business degree prepares you to succeed in a wide variety of professional settings.

Business Associate in Business - Direct Transfer Agreement (BUCBUAA)
Two-year transfer degrees let you take your freshman and sophomore classes at Seattle Colleges for a fraction of the cost, and then transfer to a four-year university with the skills and confidence to succeed. Be sure to work with a transfer advisor at Seattle Colleges and the four-year institution you plan to attend. Depending on your program of study, you can earn either an Associate of Arts (AA-DTA), Associate in Business (AB-DTA), or Associate of Science (AS), Track 1 or Track 2.
