Worker Retraining

South Seattle Community College, a member of the Seattle Community College District, is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

All individuals who are currently receiving Washington state unemployment benefits, whose unemployment benefits have been exhausted within the last 24 months or are facing the prospect of layoff may be eligible for assistance under the Worker Retraining Program. To get started, use our Request Information Form and we will contact you about attending a Worker Retraining orientation.

SSCC is also the site of a Washington State Employment Security co-located office. The onsite employment security specialist can provide assistance with a job search, unemployment questions, skills assessment, and other concerns relating to Employment Security. To reach the Washington State Employment Security office co-located at SSCC, call 206-768-6748.

Orientation Sessions:

Every Thursday in the Robert Smith Building (RSB), room 81 at 1:00 PM or call (206) 764-5835 for times and location of other sessions. (See RSB map.)
