Due to the COVID-19 closure, our office is closed and we are not administering any tests at this time. Students may complete their English placement remotely by taking our English Directed Self Placement tool.(Please note Running Start, Basic and Transitional Studies Level Four and below, and International Students with F-1 Visas are not eligible for the Directed Self Placement tool)
If you need to take a math placement test before our office is open, you may take the math placement test online through Seattle Central College. You must send all placement test scores to firstname.lastname@example.org to be able to register for classes.
Note: Students enrolled in distance or online classes who need an exam proctored for South Seattle College please see the proctoring center.
- Student Assessment Services (SAS) offers proctoring of exams for students enrolled in distance or online classes with institutions other than South Seattle College. These may be paper or online exams.
- The current Proctoring Fee is $40 (flat fee), payable at the South Seattle Cashier prior to testing. Your receipt and current government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, military ID) is also required at time of proctoring.
- Appointments are required and are available during any testing session (Placement, GED®, ATI, TEAS). Refer to our testing calendar. There are no Friday, weekend, or evening times available.

Students are responsible for notifying their institution that SAS will be proctoring their exam and for arranging delivery of the exam to SAS. For more detailed instructions please review our exam proctoring guidelines (pdf).
