As a service to applicants to the Licensed Practical Nursing Program, this page will feature necessary information about this year’s admissions process.  Applicants are encouraged to check here regularly for updates.

The deadline for applications for the Summer 2010 LPN is Feb. 1, 2010. Applications should be mailed to the address below and postmarked no later than Feb. 1, 2010.  Applications that are incomplete or that are postmarked after this deadline will not be considered.  Please turn in all parts of your application together in one envelope.

South Seattle Community College selects its LPN students based on a competitive process.  There is no waiting list for the program.  Official notification of application results will be sent to all applicants in early May.  Your patience is very much appreciated.

At this time, the next LPN program after Summer 2010 will be beginning Summer 2011.

Important Dates:

• September 2009
  Summer 2010 LPN Application will be available on this webpage.
• Now through January 28, 2010
  Attend a mandatory LPN Orientation. This is now required before submitting an application. Orientations are offered monthly. We recommend you attend sooner than later, so you can benefit from the information provided. • February 1, 2010
  Applications are due and must be postmarked no later than this date.
• February, 2010
  Financial Aid deadline for priority consideration for Summer Quarter 2010. If you plan to apply for Financial Aid, we strongly advise you to apply by this time even though you will not yet be accepted to the LPN Program. Check with the Financial Aid office for specific deadline and if you have any questions.
• May, 2010
  Official notification about application results will be sent to all applicants.
• May 28, 2010
  For accepted students: register and pay $150 deposit.
• June 10, 2010
  For accepted students: paperwork due. (Paperwork will include current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, background check (instructions to follow), required immunizations, physical exam, and current NA-C license with the state of Washington.)
• June 28, 2010
  First day of Summer Quarter and the start date of the LPN Summer Class of 2010.
• June 2011
  Graduation of the LPN Summer Class of 2010-2011.
