Transferring into South’s LPN program
South Seattle Community College does accept transfer students. Please read the transfer policy for students who wish to transfer to South. In order to transfer, a student must have the following:

  • Meet with the Director of Nursing to determine that your previous LPN coursework is compatible with our LPN coursework. When you meet with the director, please have your transcript(s) ready. Email Dr. Lana Conrad at lconrad@sccd.ctc.edu for an appointment.
  • Official transcripts of LPN and pre-requisite coursework.
  • Transcript evaluation request form to accompany the above official transcript(s).
  • Pass the required test. This will be the final exam for the previous quarter for which you are entering. For example, if you will be transferring into the 2nd quarter of the program, you will be required to take the final exam for the end of the 1st quarter. There is one seating of this exam which is scheduled at the same time with the current students who will be completing that quarter.
  • A letter from the Director of the Nursing program from which you are transferring.
  • Before starting the program, transfer students must submit the same required paperwork as our regular LPN students. (This includes but is not limited to: NAC license, immunizations, CPR, HIV, physical, background check.).

Transfer students can enter the LPN program based on availability only. Student must complete at least two quarters as South Seattle Community College in order to graduate from SSCC.
