High School Completion Program
South Seattle Community College offers a high school completion program which awards both a high school diploma and a two-year (Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree) university level education upon completion of graduation requirements.
This is how it works:
· Earn high school and college credits at the same time
· Graduate in two years with a High School Diploma and an Associate of Arts Transfer degree
· Transfer to American 4-year universities/colleges as a third year (Junior) student
Who can enroll in High School Completion Program?
· Students 16 years old or older
· Students who have completed at least one year of high school
· Students who are mature, academically motivated and prepared to succeed in university level education
Students must complete 90 credits of college level classes for Associate of Arts or Associate of Science distribution requirements. Additionally, students must complete the following requirements for high school degree:
· Pacific Northwest History (HIS 214)
· One US History Class
· Resume and Cover Letter
· Research Paper: Culminating Project completed during Engl 102
· SAT Test Score: Math 470, Reading 350, Writing 380
