The South Seattle Community College student newspaper, The Sentinel, is written, edited and published by SSCC students. Download the PDF versions from the Student Life Sentinel web page.

The Sentinel appreciates the contribution of its student body and staff and invites them to participate by contributing to the newspaper. To send a correction, a letter to the editor, a story idea, or a correction, please contact The Sentinel newsroom via the email address below.

Mission Statement:
The Sentinel is solely funded by the students of South Seattle Community College, and therefore functions to first serve the students.

The Sentinel is committed to providing articles that are directly related to the SSCC campus and that are deemed to be of interest to the students of this institution. We shall endeavor to inform the reader, express opinions, and entertain.

The Sentinel seeks to achieve integrity and credibility by maintaining the highest standards in print journalism, observing accuracy and fairness in reporting.

The Sentinel shall actively recruit student reporters and write articles that reflect the broad cultural diversity of our campus population.
