Opening Reception

An opening reception will be held on July 3rd, 2008 .
Featured artists are John Armstrong, Gema Baldwin, Troy Gua, Stuart Larson, Michael Lasater, Keith MacLelland & Ming Zhou.

Culinary Arts Program
Open House

Tour the facilities and learn about South Seattle Community College’s highly regarded Culinary Arts program at a free Saturday Open House/Information Session. You’ll learn about degree and certificate options in Restaurant & Food Service Production, Catering & Banquet Operations, and Pastry & Specialty Baking. Information will also be available about the college’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Hospitality Management (BAS) program.

Program faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions about program admission, career opportunities, and student services to help you succeed.

The Open House is free and light refreshments, including pastries prepared on campus, will be served. Advance registration is required; call (206) 764-5344 to reserve your spot.

Please do not wear sandals or open toed shoes to the tour.

INDUSTRIAL FIRST AID & SAFETY

The Georgetown Campus of South Seattle Community College, in partnership with Cascade Healthcare Services and the American Heart Association, will conduct Heartsaver First Aid/AED with CPR certification and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Emergency Care and Safety Institute Bloodborne Pathogens. This course gives you the skills you need to be prepared for an emergency -- and save a life!

The Culinary Arts Program offers prospective students, friends and family the opportunity to visit the facilities during the quiet of Saturday mornings.

During our open house you will receive detailed information on course curriculum, the steps for entering the program, tour all of the facilities and visit with some of our faculty in an informal atmosphere.
